1 Day Course
Ideal course for beginners and crews.
Provides a great introduction to boat handling skills.

RYA LEVEL 2 - Power
2 Day Course
International Certificate of Competence standard.
Provides skills & theory for competent powerboat handling.

RYA INTERMEDIATE - Power
2 Day Course
Develops skills learned from Level 2 course.
Covers passage planning using traditional & electronic navigation.

About RYA Training

Newcomers to boating are often surprised to discover that no driving licenses are required for amateur yacht or powerboat skippers in Britain. The RYA (Royal Yachting Association)
believes that voluntary training encourages yachtsmen and women to achieve higher standards of ability than a system of compulsory certification. Qualifications earned on RYA
courses are recognised and valued in most parts of the world.

During the last 10 years over 1,000,000 people have completed a variety of RYA sail and power courses. Over 21,000 yachtsmen and women have passed the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore exam. You can join any of our four RYA Power training courses at a level which is most appropriate to your experience and ability. You can expect to be taught by an experienced skipper or instructor aboard a seaworthy, safe, well maintained and suitable craft.

We extend a warm welcome to beginners and we do understand that you may be apprehensive about your first steps afloat. We are happy to train people under 18 as long as they are accompanied by parents or guardians on the course. We have the highest standards for quality of instruction and safety is of paramount importance on every course. As well as RYA training we offer the ICC (International Certificates of Competence) examinations for boat owners visiting the many countries where these certificates of competence for yachtsmen and powerboaters are mandatory. If you are planning to sail or
cruise within Europe and the Mediterranean the RYA recommends skippers to hold the International Certificate of Competence.
