RIB CHECKLIST

If you already have a RIB or you are buying for the first time this list is intended to outline what is essential and what is a 'luxury item' that will only get occasional use. If RIBs are your 'pleasure and passion' try to be clear about the difference between needs and wants.

A quality RIB can be described as the '4x4' of the sea. If you use the analogy of a military spec Landrover as a starting point you will see that in terms of equipment and technology 'less is more'. That nice 'showroom 4x4 feature list' may simply fail when taken off road.

You are always going to be limited by what you can carry on a RIB so rather than buying 'lots' kit of buy 'quality' equipment. The test of anything is how it performs when it is used in anger. If you want advice on setting up boats we offer a service based on experience.
